Maneri is a small but beautiful town situated approximately 20 kilometers from Uttarkashi on NH-108 and 66 kilometers from Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport .
It developed into a nice tourist spot after the construction of the maneri dam . There are various water sports that are conducted in the maneri lake like kayaking , boating etc.
There are various hotels present in the viscinity of the lake and 5 elements camp being the main attraction to the tourist because of it's deluxe tent's .
According to me it is nice and quiet location for spending some time in peace .
You can get taxi or bus for maneri easily from Uttarkashi as this town lies on the National Highway 108 which also connects Gangotri to the world . I would advice that you book a hotel in advance because it is very tough to find one during season time .
